Wholesale Packing Tape MOQ and Pricing Tiers
Sample, pilot, and wholesale tiers for packing tapes — ranges and what moves the quote, not fake unit prices.
Wholesale packing tape pricing is a ladder, not a single “factory price” scraped from a marketplace listing. The quote moves with SKU count, size/spec range, material or construction, packing, and whether the run is catalog or custom.

Three commercial tiers

Exact breaks are quoted per SKU. Different constructions, sizes, and packing formats do not share one unit cost.
What moves the quote
- SKU × color × size — more SKUs mean more setups and packing SKUs
- Construction — mic, width, yards, and core
- Brand pack — label, inner box, instructions vs bulk polybag
- Labels — material, origin, barcode language
- Destination — carton strength and document set for US vs EU
- Reorder vs first run — first run carries sampling and setup
How to ask for a useful number
Send:
- Line: OPP packing tape and/or specialty tape and PE film
- Sizes / specs per SKU (number of variants)
- Neutral vs branded packing
- First PO and 12-month forecast
- Incoterm you actually use (FOB is the usual planning assumption unless you say otherwise)

Pilot vs vanity MOQ
A factory that advertises “MOQ 50” and then adds color surcharges, size surcharges, and a “small order fee” is not cheaper. Ask for the all-in first PO at your real SKU and size mix.
