Kapton tape
high-temperature polyimide tape for electronics
Film thickness · adhesive · width · die-cut on the RFQ · specs on request
B2B polyimide tape catalog
Kapton-style polyimide tape for electronics and industrial buyers
Kapton tape is the common name for high-temperature polyimide film tape—amber film with a silicone adhesive—used for PCB masking during soldering, coil and transformer wrapping, and heat-exposed electronics assembly. AeroTape quotes polyimide tape for electronics manufacturers, distributors, and OEM programs. (Kapton is a DuPont trademark; we supply polyimide tape, not branded DuPont film.)
Specs that belong on the brief: film thickness, adhesive, width, roll length, core, liner, die-cut drawings, and your process temperature and dwell time. We do not publish temperature ratings on this page—specs and data sheets are confirmed on request against your process. For PVC wire wrapping, see electrical tape. Mixed orders go through tape wholesale.

Kapton Tape FAQ
What is Kapton tape?
Kapton tape is the common name for polyimide film tape with a silicone adhesive, used where heat resistance is needed—PCB masking, coil wrapping, and electronics assembly. Kapton is a DuPont trademark; AeroTape supplies polyimide tape for wholesale and OEM.
What temperature can polyimide tape withstand?
It depends on film, adhesive, and dwell time. We do not publish a single temperature rating; share your process temperature and duration on the RFQ and we confirm a matching spec and data sheet on request.
Do you supply die-cut polyimide tape?
Yes. Dots, shapes, and kiss-cut sheets are quoted from your drawing, tolerance, and liner requirements.
Polyimide tape vs electrical tape?
Polyimide tape is a thin high-temperature film for electronics and heat processes. PVC electrical tape is a stretchy insulation tape for wire wrapping and color coding.
What is the MOQ for wholesale polyimide tape?
MOQ is quoted by SKU and depends on construction, width, color, and packing. Polyimide tape can share a PO with other specialty rolls—start from tape wholesale or the inquiry form.
Do you publish UL or RoHS badges for polyimide tape?
No. If you need specific compliance documents, list them on the RFQ and ask for a documentation pack. We do not invent certificate badges.
Need polyimide tape rolls or die-cuts?
Share thickness, width, process temperature, drawings, and volume — typical reply within 24 hours on working days.
